SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, has taken on a new role within the Welsh Conservative group in the Senedd.
Mr Rowlands has been named as the Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance by Clwyd West MS, Darren Millar, the new leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the Senedd.
Mr Rowlands, who is also the Policy Director for the Welsh Conservatives, has moved from the Shadow Health portfolio.
He said: “I am delighted to take on the role of Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance and retain my role as Policy Director for the Welsh Conservatives.
“In my new role I will be shadowing former First Minister Mark Drakeford, who made a return to the Welsh Labour front bench under Eluned Morgan’s leadership.
“I look forward to working with our new leader, Darren Millar, and challenging Mark Drakeford to focus on prioritising front line services rather than vanity projects such as Senedd expansion and the default 20mph speed limit.”
