Abertillery man jailed for drug supply offence

AN ABERTILLERY man is facing 12 months in prison after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of class B drugs (cannabis).

Stephen Knight, 30, appeared before Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday 23 June.

PC Iles, officer in the case, said: “Drug supply will not be tolerated in Gwent: we’re committed to protecting our communities from the devastating effects of illegal drugs, which can often ruin lives, exploit vulnerable members of society and often lead to other forms of criminal activity.

“This sentence shows that the Blaenau Gwent neighbourhood team will continue to target individuals who show complete disregard to the judicial system and, if they offend, they will be put before the courts.

“If you have any information about people involved in illegal drug activity, please call us on 101, or direct message us on Facebook or Twitter. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
