Snowdrop Independent Living has entered liquidation

A LONGSTANDING Haverfordwest based mobility aid retailer has closed its door after entering into liquidation.

Suspicions over Snowdrop Independent Living grew in the county after the showroom doors closed, phone lines were down and the website was under maintenance.

After almost two decades in the flagship store in Haverfordwest, before branching out across South Wales and the West Midlands, the business has confirmed that it has called in the administrators and all 37 employees have been made redundant with immediate effect.

The business is said to have suffered financial difficulties after failing to hit its revenue forecasts.

Following advice from insolvency practitioners at Menzies LLP, they have taken the decision to cease trading on January 30.

Ms Evans said: “Having suffered financial difficulties and having sought advice from insolvency practitioners at Menzies LLP, regrettably Snowdrop Independent Living Ltd has ceased trading on 30th January.

“All 37 employees have been made redundant with immediate effect. Regrettably, due to the challenging trading conditions, the business was failing to hit its revenue forecasts.

“We will continue to work with the directors to maximise value for creditors.”
