Bellamy announces 25-Man Cymru squad for UEFA Nations League fixtures

CYMRU manager Craig Bellamy has unveiled a 25-player squad as the team prepares for their upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures, with an away match against Iceland followed by a home fixture against Montenegro.

In a significant boost, Joe Allen has made himself available for international selection once again. The Swansea City midfielder had retired from Cymru duty following the 2022 FIFA World Cup but has now returned to the squad. Another notable return is Rhys Norrington-Davies, who is back in the fold after a lengthy absence of more than two years due to injuries.

David Brooks, Nathan Broadhead, and Wes Burns also return to Bellamy’s squad after missing out on last month’s matches. However, the team will be without key midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Ethan Ampadu, both sidelined due to injuries.

Cymru’s Nations League campaign continues with a trip to Reykjavik to face Iceland on Friday, 11th October, before hosting Montenegro at Cardiff City Stadium on Monday, 14th October. Bellamy’s side will be aiming to build on their solid start to the campaign, which saw them draw 0-0 against Türkiye and secure a 2-1 win over Montenegro in challenging conditions in Nikšić.

Fans can purchase tickets for the home match against Montenegro through the FAW ticketing website.
