Lampeter keep pressure on leaders with win over Llangwm

LAMPETER TOWN kept the pressure on League 3 West A leaders St Clears with an 87-0 win over Llangwm at Pill Parks on Saturday (Jan 14).

The win for Lampeter is their eighth from nine games and moves them four points behind St Clears, who also won on Saturday; beating Haverfordwest 22-5.

Lampeter ultimately proved too strong for Llangwm on Saturday as Iestyn Evans and Jac Williams both ran in four tries.

The game was switched to Llangwm’s second pitch after overnight rain had left parts of the main pitch unplayable.

Other tries came from Ceri Thomas, Ryan Kelachandra, Osian Jones, Tomos Rhys Jones and John Heath.

Rhys Douglas kicked eight conversions and Osian Jones added another three as Lampeter completed a comprehensive win.
