A MAN who died as a result of a road traffic collision on 16th November has been named by his family as Rhys Jenkins, aged 41, from Glynneath.
Mr Jenkins was travelling along the A483 near Welshpool with his 9-year-old son when his vehicle was involved in a collision. Mr Jenkins died at the scene, and his son remains in hospital recovering from his injuries.
His family have paid tribute to him saying: “Rhys was a devoted husband, father and family man and his loss is absolutely devastating for us all. We are thankful for the support we have received since this truly awful incident and continue to be comforted by the well wishes.
“As a family we would be grateful to now be afforded the time to grieve.”
Abubakr Ben Yusaf, aged 29, has been charged with drug driving, causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.
Umar Ben Yusaf, aged 33, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured, and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.
Both have been remanded in custody until the next court hearing on December 20.
Officers are continuing to appeal to anyone with information that could help with the investigation, including anyone who was travelling along the road at the relevant time with dashcam footage, is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police, either online by clicking here, by emailing , or by calling 101.
