Famous five clean up in finale

FISHGUARD produced not just one but five sporting winners in this year’s series of Go Tri events!

The famous five cleaned up at the Go Tri series finale in Haverfordwest on September 15.

All five are regular attenders of the Go Tri fitness sessions run by fitness instructor Jayne Richards at Fishguard Leisure Centre.

Catherine Marks from St David’s won the series overall female title, Alec Ffitch from Wolfscastle won the series female novice title, Carl Davies from Trefin won the series male novice title and Nick Chilton from Fishguard won the series male vet title, while Martin Evans, also from Fishguard, won the male super vet category in Haverfordwest.

The Haverfordwest race was the last in this year’s series of four Go Tri races and followed earlier events at Fishguard, Crymych and Tenby.

Organised by Pembrokeshire Leisure – the leisure services arm of Pembrokeshire County Council – and the Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club, the mini triathlons are targeted at novices but also open to more experienced athletes.
