Local residents raise cash for vulnerable children

Action-for-Children-logoBIG-HEARTED business people and residents from Haverfordwest have raised £3,000 by taking part in a fun and festive fundraising event in aid of disabled children and young carers. Action for Children-Gweithredu dros Blant hosted a festive bingo night at Haverfordwest Cricket club on December 3 for over a hundred residents and business owners.

All funds raised will be used to provide activities and social opportunities for young people with disabilities who attend Action for Children-Gweithredu dros Blant’s Hawthorn Project and Pembrokeshire Young Carers service. Siobhan Devonald, transition key worker at Action for Children- Gweithredu dros Blant said: “We are extremely grateful to everyone who took part in our first ever festive bingo night and for raising such a fantastic amount. “The event was all about having a bit of fun whilst raising money for a good cause. It was such a success that we are making plans to host it again next year.”
