St Dogmael’s Medieval Day

WHILE THERE WAS PLENTY to do in and around Pembrokeshire on Bank Holiday Monday, it is unlikely that families had a chance to go back in time unless they visited St Dogmael’s Medieval Day.

Held in the grounds of St Dogmael’s Abbey, there was a family day brim full of activities, crafting, games, competitions; spinning; story-telling; and archery.

On a gloriously sunny day a healthy crowd of 200 people spent the day enjoying all the attractions, including St Dogmael’s award-winning market, entertainment from the choir, plenty of fun for kids and dogs, Mandy’s fish stall, while the Coach House was open for coffees and snacks There was even Ye Olde Burger Van if you felt the twenty-first century was too far away.

The publicity promised a great day for everyone, and everyone who was at the Abbey seemed to agree.
