LOCAL historian Glen Johnson is kicking off a ten-week series of talks on the history of Cardigan at the Castle starting on Wednesday, January 27 from 7pm to 9pm.
The talks will look at all aspects of the town’s 900 year history starting with its fascinating medieval origins, through its shipping port heyday and into more recent times. Glen has a wealth of images that he will be sharing with his audience.
The sessions cost just £2 per person and run until March 23. Glen will also be holding free hands on archive and archaeology sessions in the castle every Thursday afternoon starting January 28 from 2pm to 4pm.
He will be looking at the castle’s archive from the late historian Donald Davies as well as the wealth of material left by former castle owner Miss Barbara Wood plus some more hands on sessions.
