LOCAL Assembly Member, Paul Davies has visited St Francis Catholic Primary School in Milford Haven, to present Phoebe Whitwham with a prize for winning his Christmas card competition this year. Phoebe was handed a kindle for producing the winning Christmas card, which detailed Father Christmas and his reindeer delivering presents through a colourful Christmas scene.

Phoebe’s class will also receive an art lesson at their school from the judge and local artist, Cynth Weyman. Mr Davies said: “I was delighted to present Phoebe with a kindle for winning this year’s Christmas card competition. “Phoebe’s card was excellent and really summed up the hustle and bustle of the Christmas period. She saw off stiff competition from right across Pembrokeshire, where many children produced some really artistic designs.”

He added: “I’m delighted that Phoebe and her classmates will also be treated to an art lesson from local artist, Cynth Weyman. With such wonderful art produced by the school children of Pembrokeshire, it’s very important for their talent to be nurtured and developed.”
