Andrew RT Davies MS, Senedd Member for South Wales Central and former Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, has issued his New Year’s Message. He said:
“I’d like to wish everyone across the Vale, Cardiff and Rhondda Cynon Taf a Happy New Year.
“I know people will join me in paying a special tribute to the front-line staff who keep us safe.
“With the flooding we’ve seen that has driven people from their homes and businesses, I know that tribute will be especially heartfelt in our communities.
“For lots of us, this time of year is about new beginnings and new opportunities to meet the challenges we face and be the best we can be.
“While our communities have endured hardship and frustration over the last few years, I believe that politicians will soon begin to listen to the concerns held by the people who keep our country moving.
“And by listening to people, and addressing their concerns, we will bring our communities closer together and tackle the challenges we face.”
