Man remains in custody following fatal Cardiff stabbing

A MAN has died following a stabbing in Cardiff yesterday Morning (November 23).

South Wales Police have confirmed that the victim of the stabbing which happened at around 9am in Hansen Street, Cardiff, has sadly passed away.

No formal identification has been done yet, but police have said a 31-year-old local man.

Next of kin have been informed.

A 44-year-old man was arrested in Splott, Cardiff, Yesterday on suspicion of murder.

He remains in custody.

A South Wales Police spokesperson said: “We can confirm a man has died following a stabbing in Hansen Street, Cardiff, shortly after 9am yesterday morning (Tuesday, November 23)

“Although formal identification has not been carried out, he is believed to be a 31-year-old local man. Next of kin have been informed.

“A 44-year-old man was arrested in the Splott area of Cardiff yesterday on suspicion of murder and he remains in custody.

“South Wales Police Detectives are not looking for anybody else in connection with the man’s death.
