Police appeal following sexual assault in Brynmawr

GWENT POLICE are appealing to the public for information regarding an alleged sexual assault on Bailey Street, Brynmawr on Sunday, August 22.

A 17-year-old girl is alleged to have been sexually assaulted at around 9.30pm.

Police are looking to speak to two people who were in The Talisman Pub nearby on the evening in question.

The victim described the offender as white, about 5’9” tall, in his late twenties, of a large build with a beard

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “Were investigating a sexual assault that happened on Bailey Street in Brynmawr.

“A 17-year-old girl was assaulted by a man at about 9.30pm on Sunday 22 August.

“We’d like to speak to the men pictured here, who were in the Talisman pub nearby that evening, as they may be able to help us with our enquiries.

“Although the CCTVisn’t very clear, the image may jog your memory if you were there.”
