The pair, who both share the same birthday, were spotted enjoying an intimate meal at The Gables in Foxrock, creating a stir amongst guests.
Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones celebrated her 55th birthday, while her husband, Michael Douglas, marked a major milestone, turning 80. According to sources, the couple entered the restaurant casually without a reservation, leaving other diners astonished to find themselves dining alongside the famous duo.
This appearance followed some online excitement after Zeta-Jones posted a striking image of herself on Instagram in her “birthday suit”. The actress shared a black-and-white, vintage-style photo where she posed elegantly in high heels, standing in a luxurious marble bathroom complete with a grand basin and spacious bathtub.
Accompanying the photo, she humorously captioned: “In my birthday suit! After over 25 years of sharing my birthday day with my husband, I am running out of gift ideas! This is gift option two, golf balls being option one… of course.”
Not to be left out, Michael Douglas also took to social media to mark their joint celebration. He shared a heartfelt post on Instagram featuring a picture of his wife, captioning it: “To my birthday sister, I love you with all my heart! May your new year be the best!”
