Haverfordwest man accused of sexual assault on child under 13

A HAVERFORDWEST man accused of two counts of sexual assault on a girl under 13 will face a judge at crown court.

Dominic Dewick , 44 , appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 10 to face the charges.

Dennis Davies, prosecuting, told the bench how Dewick of Harrier Road, Haverfordwest, is accused of two counts of intentionally penetrating a girl under the age of 13.

The first charge relates to an incident on May 6, 2013, where the defendant is accused of penetrating the vagina of a girl aged 9 with their tongue.

The second charge relates to a time period between May 6, 2013 and May 5, 2017, where Dewick is accused of intentionally penetrating the vagina of a child aged 9 with a finger.

No plea was indicated for the charges.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction and sent the case to crown court.

The defendant was released on unconditional bail to appear at Swansea Crown Court on February 10 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
