SANCTA MARIA HOSPITAL is pleased to announce its exceptional performance in a recent inspection, conducted by Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW).
The inspection report (published on Thursday 26 September 2024) praised the Swansea hospital for its outstanding patient care, safe and effective environment, and positive workplace culture.
The recognition demonstrates the hospital team’s dedication to delivering high-quality private healthcare services in Swansea and throughout West Wales.
The HIW inspection highlighted the excellent patient experience at Sancta Maria Hospital, with patients consistently reporting high levels of satisfaction. They particularly noted the kindness, compassion, and professionalism of the team. The hospital’s cleanliness and maintenance were also commended, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors. The hospital was recognised for its safe and effective care practices, including a strong focus on infection prevention and medication management; and its multidisciplinary approach ensures that each patient receives comprehensive and individualised treatment.
Sancta Maria Hospital is managed by the Healthcare Management Trust. The report highlighted staff’s satisfaction with the open and collaborative atmosphere, which contributes to the overall quality of care provided and there was also acknowledgement of the hospital’s effective auditing, recruitment, and training processes.
