Scenes of crime specialists investigate human remains found in Mumbles woodlands

SCENES of crime officers have been spotted carrying out investigations at the location where human remains were discovered over a week ago. The gruesome find was made in a wooded area off Waverley Drive in Mumbles on Thursday, April 6, leading to a police investigation. While authorities initially stated that there was “no need for public concern”, the investigation is ongoing and more details are emerging.

On Sunday, April 16, a team of around six scenes of crime officers were seen and heard digging in the woods above the residential street. It is not clear how long they will remain at the scene. South Wales Police have confirmed that they are still conducting inquiries into the discovery at Waverley Drive.

A spokesperson for the police stated that “specialist officers and staff continue their investigations at the scene on Waverley Drive in Mumbles.” As of yet, there has been no official identification of the remains, and authorities have not released any further details about the case.
