Angle go through in Fifth Division Cup

ANGLE booked their place in the quarter finals of the Fifth Division Cup on Saturday (Mar 26) as they came from behind to beat Milford Athletic seconds 3-2.

Michael Cooper put the Athletic ahead after 25 minutes and James Larsen scored five minutes after to put the home side in a strong position.

The visitors were forced into a change shortly before the break and they made two shortly after and those changes seemed to work.

Just three minutes into the second half, one of those subs, Sam Burgham pulled a goal back for Angle.

Jarvis Braddon-Thomas then levelled the game up with fifteen minutes to go and they now went in search of a winner.

It looked as if extra time would be needed in the fourth minute of time added on, Rio Griffiths found the net to send Angle through.

The other game in the first round of the Cup saw Kilgetty seconds also earn a 3-2 win away at St Clears seconds.

Two goals from Andrew Evans and one from Duane Rossiter gave Kilgetty a 3-0 lead after 34 minutes.

The Saints hit back but despite goals from Mark Pickergill and one in injury time from Thomas McCabe, Kilgetty held on for the win.
