MILFORD ATHLETIC earned their first league win of the season on Saturday (Feb 12) as they beat Solva 5-1.
James Larsen put the visitors ahead after ten minutes and five minutes later Athletic doubled their lead through Chris Scoble.
Oliver Jones then scored to make it 3-0 midway through the half and it was 4-0 with thirty minutes gone when Callum Bergin scored.
Jones then grabbed his second goal of the game shortly before the break to put the Athletic in a strong position.
Solva never gave and they did pull a deserved goal back 18 minutes from the end when Stefan Sandford scored to make it 5-1.
That was the end of the scoring though as the Atheltic saw the game out to seal a welcome win.
On Saturday, February 19, Solva host Merlins Bridge seconds in Division 2 action.
Milford Athletic are in action in the first round of the Second Division Cup where they will host Herbrandston.
