The Bluebirds’ season so far

so farTHE Bluebirds have made a fantastic start to the 2013/14 season and are yet to taste defeat in the league.

Defeats in the cup competitions have been the only blemishes in what is shaping up to be a fantastic season.

A 1-0 win against Ton Pentre on the opening day of the season set the tone and wins at home against Pontadarwe Town and Cwmbran Celtic followed. September started badly for the Bluebirds as they lost two consecutive cup games.

A draw followed but they finally got themselves back to winning ways with an excellent 5-1 victory over Tata Steel.

By mid-October it was clear that the Bluebirds would be in the mix for promotion as they continued their impressive form.

A win over West End saw them progress to the second round of the Welsh Cup but that run was brought to an abrupt halt as they lost 6-1 to Cardiff Met University.

Most recently they did the double over Ton Pentre beating them by four goals to two. They also completed the double against Cwmbran who they beat 4-0.

The Bluebirds currently sit second but are level with leaders Taffs Well on points and goal difference.

More importantly they have two games in hand on those around them and they could move clear of the chasing pack if they win those games.

Coming up they have games against AFC Porth and Monmouth but in February they take on current leaders Taffs Well in what could be a crucial game.
