TROSTRE made the journey to Camford looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at Bwlch whilst Camford themselves were looking to build on their impressive victory away at Pengelli United. In difficult conditions the home side started brightest with some slick pass and move football, but it was Trostre who had the first big chance of the game when a wicked Tom Walsh corner fell to Ashley Lewis who spurned a golden opportunity to give the away side the lead. With 30 minutes gone Camford seized the initiative thanks to some quick thinking from Paul Flower.

Taking a quick free-kick and skipping past two defenders he finished with a sublime chip from 25 yards leaving the keeper flailing. The second half began with Trostre pushing hard for an equaliser, but in their eagerness to grab a goal they left themselves vulnerable to a counter attack. Camford seized upon this with good work from Chris Waters who broke at pace before squaring to Dale Jones for a simple tap-in.

Trostre found a way back into the match when Chris Price- Williams cut in from the left hand side and smashed an unstoppable shot just inside the post setting up a grandstand finale. The joy was to be short lived however as Camford centre-back Nathan Davies restored the two goal advantage against the run of play. The best was saved until last as Trostre grabbed a superb second through Dan Jones’ sublime curled effort into the top corner, but it proved to be little more than a consolation as Camford held on for all 3 points.
