Carew see off determined Neyland

CAREW earned their eighth win of the season on Saturday (Mar 5) as they beat Neyland 4-1 at the Athletic Ground.

The visitors took the lead after 10 minutes as Adam Muskett scored his 26th goal of the season.

Neyland looked to get themselves back level and they did just that on 22 minutes when Leon Barrett scored his third goal of the season.

However, Carew regained the lead two minutes before the break through Joseph Williams.

It was a blow to Neyland who had played well in the first half but found themselves 2-1 down at the break.

The first goal of the second would prove crucial but it didn’t come until the 67th minute.

Muskett scored his second of the game and just three minutes later he completed his hat trick to take his tally of goals for the season to 28.

That all but sealed the win for the Rooks, who remain a point behind third placed Clarbeston Road in the Division 1 table.

On Saturday, March 12, Neyland travel to Fishguard while Carew travel to Hundleton.
