NEYLAND and district sea anglers held a cash match at Dale on Sunday.
They did not pick the best day to fish, but it was not as bad as expected, a few heavy showers and an occasional gust of wind, nevertheless there was plenty of fish brought back to the scales for the weigh in.
Lady angler Claire Hall showed the lads the way by landing a fine strap conger of 4lbs and 8ozes, also and a nice dog fish to take not only the prize for the heaviest bag, but also the pool for the heaviest fish with the cash prize of £70.
Pat Beisly took the second prize with his bag of fish, with Steve Tate close behind picking up the third prize.
Adjudicators for the match were John Hart, Steve Tate. And Bob South.
The clubs AGM will be held on this Thursday, January 9 at the Neyland Yacht Club 7.30 sharp, new members welcome.
