Clarby hold on to beat Pennar

CLARBESTON ROAD withstood a late comeback from Pennar Robins on Saturday (Jan 29) to earn a 3-2 win.

Clarby built up a 3-0 lead before two late goals gave Pennar hope of rescuing a point but it wasn’t to be for the visitors.

Steffan Williams put the home side ahead after just fourteen minutes and it remained 1-0 until the half time whistle.

Midway through the second half, Ben John doubled Clarby’s lead and with twenty minutes to go he scored his second to make it 3-0.

However, Connor Roberts scored with eleven minutes to go to spark hopes of a comeback.

Roberts scored again with a minute of the 90 to go but try as they might they were unable to find a late equaliser.
