WPL Player of the Month
TOWN’s experienced centre half Cortez Belle has been named as the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League Player of the Month for February. Despite not featuring in a winning fixture during the month the clubs still voted the Carmarthen defender a worthy winner of this month’s accolade. Belle featured in all three fixtures for Carmarthen during February where he scored at Bastion Gardens against Prestatyn Town. The Old Gold player got on the end of a Luke Cummings pass and entered the penalty area, rounding the hosts keeper Scott Williams and tapping in from close range. However, the game ended up 1-1 courtesy of a added on time goal from Michael Parker. The experienced defender also played in the two losses against Rhyl 1-0 at the Corbett Sports Stadium and last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to gap Connah’s Quay at Richmond Park despite Carmarthen holding a two goal lead.
