Crymych earn win over league leaders

CRYMYCH earned their fifth win of the season on Saturday (Mar 26) as they beat Hendy 13-10 in a tight affair.

Hendy arrived in Crymych sitting top of the League 1 West table with six wins from seven games but their second defeat of the season sees them drop to second place.

Hendy took the lead with a try scored by Josh Davies and Rhydian Morris added the extras.

Tomos Phillips responded for Crymych with the game’s second try and Adam Phillips converted to level the score at 7-7.

Adam Phillips then put Crymych ahead with a penalty before Morris levelled for Hendy with another penalty.

It was Crymych who got the final score of the game as they set up well to allow Adam Phillips the space for a drop goal.
