St Clears 2
Goodwick United 3
A LATE goal from Rhys Dalling gave Goodwick United all three points in their mid-table clash with St Clears. Goodwick raced into a two goal lead in the first half with goals from Rob Morgans and Johnny Horgan.
Owain Evans pulled a goal back with a fierce strike into the top corner to give the home side hope of a comeback. They were level five minutes after the break when Nick Squire headed the ball into the net. The momentum was with the Saints but some good defending kept the scores level. Rhys Dalling scored the winning goal ten minutes from time and the win keeps Goodwick in touch with those above them in the table.
On Saturday (Dec 20), Goodwick face third placed Pennar Robins, knowing a win could see them go above their opponents. The Saints, meanwhile, will face a tricky trip to leaders Hakin United.
