Division 2 round up: Swifts earn a point against Solva

MONKTON SWIFTS Seconds earned a point on Saturday (March 19) as they came from behind three times to earn a 3-3 draw against Solva.

Stefan Sandford put Solva ahead but Luke Hendry equalised on the stroke of half time for the Swifts.

Sandford put Solva back in front on the hour mark but six minutes later, Cory Mair levelled the game at 2-2.

Sandford then completed his hat trick on 73 minutes but they were unable to hang on for victory as Hendry scored his second of the game to level the score at 3-3.

ST CLEARS earned a 10-1 win at home against Broad Haven as Will Evans and sub Steven Thomas both scored hat tricks.

Jamie Thomas, Jon Seeley, Ashley Williams and Ben John were also on target for the Saints who moved up to sixth place in the Division 2 table.

Scott Jakeman scored a consolation goal for Broad Haven.

MERLINS BRIDGE seconds sit third as they beat Pennar Robins seconds 6-2.

Owain Cochran and Ryan Doyle gave the Wizards a 2-0 lead but Ewan Davies scored for Pennar to make it 2-1 at half time.

Doyle and Jonathan Clarke then scored in the second half to make it 4-1 before Davies pulled a second goal back for Pennar.

Doyle then completed his hat trick to all but seal the win and Peter Thomas scored the Wizards’ sixth goal late on.

Alex Ouzman had given Herbie the lead on the stroke of half time but Richard Cope scored on 71 minutes to level the game.

It looked as if the game would finish level but Cope scored in the 90th minute to give the league leaders victory.
