LLANELLI Town could be poised to make a big signing as they bid to stay in the JD Welsh Premier League.
Former Swansea City star Leon Britton has been linked with a move to the club and, should he sign, it could provide a major boost.
Llanelli currently sit second from bottom in the Welsh Premier League and have been looking to make new signings to strengthen their squad.
36-year-old Britton retired in May 2018 having made over 500 appearances for the Swans and he has since taken up a role as an ambassador for the club.
The Reds have already signed Scott Coughlan, Lee Bevan and Luke Morgan this winter.
Llanelli have two games remaining in the first phase of the 2018/19 Welsh Premier League season against bottom side Llandudno on Saturday (Jan 5), followed by a game away to Champions TNS.
The league will then be split into two with the Reds having a further ten games to improve their league position.
