Bruno’s double sinks Mumbles

TWO goals, one in each half from Evans & Williams FC (Albies) striker Bruno Forkuoh were enough to claim the victory at a very sunny Underhill Park in Mumbles.

Mumbles Rangers best chance of the entire game was within minutes of the game kicking off when Rangers midfielder Jordan Lloyd- Evans whipped a corner kick right beneath the visitors cross bar and despite a few attempts of “head tennis “ by the home strikers they could not find the finish they needed.

The game became very stop start with the visitors slowly getting a grip on the game. Rangers struggled to make any progress against a stubborn visitors defensive line marshalled by Nicholas Jones.

Two minutes before half time Mumbles Rangers failed to clear their own defensive lines and a mix up allowed Albies the striker Bruno Forkuoh to pounce on the opportunity and slide the ball into the back of the Rangers net.

The second half saw the Albies in command of the game and frustrate the home team from getting clear chances on goal.

The Albies defence and the closing down in midfield and down the channels thwarted any meaningful attacks from the home team.

Albies striker Bruno Forkuoh was having a man of the match performance helping out in defence, midfield and administering what turned out to be the final blow in the 65th minute of the game when he blasted the ball into the Rangers net to make it two nil and a personal brace of goals for himself.

Rangers still had time to get themselves back in the game but just couldn’t make any headway and it was the game management of the Albies that clinched
