Christian Eriksen has made the Denmark squad for the first time since his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.

In Euro 2020 – which took place last summer – Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during a match against Finland.

Doctors revived the star with one de-fib, and he was rushed to hospital soon after.

The 30-year-old was fitted with an ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator) due to rhythm disturbances after the arrest.

Eriksen will emotionally re-join up the Danish squad for training in Spain prior to the friendlies.

It will his first time in the squad since the incident.

The midfielder recently joined Brentford from Inter Milan in a move to start playing more first-team football.

He has starred in wins against Newcastle and Norwich since coming back to the Premier League.
