THE title race in the JD Cymru Premier will come to conclusion this weekend with two teams battling it out to be crowned champions.

Connah’s Quay Nomads sit in pole position and they hold a two-point lead over their nearest challengers The New Saints.

The Nomads are current champions after the previous season was curtailed because of the coronavirus pandemic and they will be keen to add to that.

They take on Penybont at the SDM Glass Stadium knowing that a win will see them achieve that goal for a second time.

A defeat coupled with a TNS win will see Anthony Limbrick’s men leapfrog them to top spot.

The New Saints take on Bala Town who will be looking to finish on a high with European football already guaranteed for next season.

A draw for the Nomads, coupled with a TNS win would see the Saints go top because of their superior goal difference.

The Nomads will come up against a Penybont side who beat them 2-0 at Deeside when the Championship Conference got underway.

Their last game away to the Bont finished 0-0 while the other meeting with them this season saw the Nomads earn a narrow 1-0 win.

TNS take on a Bala side who they beat 1-0 at the start of the second phase of the season.

In the first phase they drew 0-0 at Park Hall while the other meeting at Maes Tegid saw also ended in a 1-1 draw.

The two title challengers will come up against teams that have caused them a number of problems this season, making the final day of the season that little more interesting.
