Page to continue in Giggs’ absence

Robert Page took charge of Wales in November

ROBERT PAGE will take charge of Wales again this month as the country begins its 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Football Association of Wales (FAW) said in a statement that they had ‘mutually agreed’ with Giggs that he would not be involved in the upcoming training camp.

The FAW added: “Robert Page will take charge for the next three matches against Belgium, Mexico and the Czech Republic and will be supported by Albert Stuivenberg as was the case during the last international window in November.

“The Cymru squad for these upcoming matches will be announced on Monday, March 15.”

Wales first game in the qualifiers sees them travel to Belgium on March 25.

They will take on Mexico in a friendly three days later before hosting the Czech Republic on March 30.
