Senior Cup round up: Goodwick and Kilgetty hit ten

GOODWICK United and Kilgetty both scored ten times as they won their Senior Cup first round games on Saturday (Oct 1).

Last season’s finalists Kilgetty beat Angle with Richard Cope, Tom Baker, Lloyd Hughes, and Richard Tebbutt all scoring twice.

Rhys Hewson and Ryan Coleman scored the other goals for the Division 1 side.

Goodwick’s Nathan Greene and Rhys Jones both scored hat tricks in their win over Division 2 side Herbrandston.

Rhys Dalling and Will Haworth both scored twice as Goodwick sealed a comfortable win.

Craig Nicholson’s 68th minute penalty proved a consolation for Herbie.

Elsewhere, Pendine came from behind to beat Narberth 4-1. Keeper Jason Jones put Narberth ahead in the tenth minute.

Chris Evans equalised for Pendine with half an hour gone and they took the lead on the stroke of half time through Callum Syddall.

Ian Darbyshire increased Pendine’s lead on the hour mark and Justin Blewitt’s penalty ten minutes from time secured the win.

Monkton also went through to the second round with a 4-0 win over St Ishmaels.

Ben Steele, Declan Carroll, Blake James and sub Jamie Wilkes were all on target for the Swifts.

There are more first round games to be completed which include Pembroke Boro v Pennar Robins and Prendergast Villa v Hakin United.
