SEVEN Sisters booked their place in the semi-finals of the West Wales Cup on Saturday (Mar 5) as they saw off gutsy St Clears.
St Clears had knocked out Felinfoel and Evans and Williams and Loughor Rovers on route to their first ever quarter-final and they were keen to go one step further.
However, it was the home side who got off to the best possible start when Steff Jenkins latched on to a Jack Owen pass to beautifully lob the Saints keeper from the angle of the 18 yard box after 5 minutes.
After dominating the next 20 minutes, Adam Campbell was sent off for an alleged off the ball incident.
With the man advantage the Saints looked to pull themselves level and they began to dominate but Seven Sisters got to half time with the 1-0 lead intact.
The lead was doubled 10 minutes after the break when Nathan Jones out paced the defender and cut the ball across for Christian Elkins to finish.
The visitors continued to have more of the chances and they finally pulled one back in the 70th minute after a great save by Damian Turner the ball fell to Jon Seeley at the back post to tap in.
The game was sealed in the 90th minute though when Steff Jenkins grabbed his second catching Jason Jones off his line to coolly finish from 35 yards.
Seven Sisters finished the game with nine men as Jack Owen was shown a second yellow card.
It finished 3-1 though and Seven Sisters will now look forward to their semi-final tie.
