DESPITE the rain there was some action in the West Wales Cup on Saturday (Oct 2) as the competition returned.
West Wales Premier League side Seven Sisters/Onllwyn won 8-0 against Ystradgynlais with Steffan Jenkins and Nathan Jones both scoring a hat trick.
Jac Sundale also scored twice for the home side as they eased through to the second round.
Swansea Senior League side Blaen-y-Maes had a comfortable afternoon as they won 14-0 away at Neath Division 1 side Celtic Neath.
Swansea Senior League Division 2 side caused a shock as they beat Carmarthenshire Premier side Gorseinon Athletic.
Gorseinon had taken the lead through Ashley Thomas but Richard Davies pulled them level in the second half before Chris Smith scored an injury time winner to send his side through.
There was a frantic game at Tennant Park where Harp Rovers were beaten 7-5 by Waunarlwydd Galaxy.
The game finished 4-4 after 90 minutes meaning extra time would be needed. An own goal put the Rovers ahead but goas from Jamie Pritchard and Jack Nicholson sent the visitors into round 2.
Clase Social went through to round 2 after they beat Kingsbridge Colts 4-3. James Lewis put Clase ahead early on but Mohammed Ali scored twice to put the Colts ahead.
Nick Hopkins then missed a penalty for the Colts but an own goal in the second half put the Colts 3-1 ahead.
However, Clase substitute Ceri Cook came off the bench to score a hat trick, his third goal coming in the 90th minute, to earn victory for his side.
Loughor Rovers eased through as they beat Cwrt Herbert Colts 9-1. 17-year-old William Picton Jones scored four goals and Josh Harwood scored a hat trick as the Carmarthenshire Premier side booked their place in round 2.
West Wales Premier League side Evans and Williams also went through as they beat Neath premier side Neath Town 4-2.
Kavan Williams scored twice to put Neath Town ahead but goals from Mark Howells, Rory Johns and two from Bruno Forkuoh sent Evans and Williams to victory.
Swansea side Sandfields booked their place in round 2 with a 6-1 win over Pembrokeshire side Hundeton.
James Figgures scored twice early before being taken off injured and Hundleton pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time through Geraint Lewis.
However in the second half Sandfields pulled away with goals from Sean McManus, Lee Chapman and two from Mark Buckney.
AFC Glais beat Pontardawe United 4-0 with Luc Bowles scoring twice while Clarbeston Road came from behind to beat Bryncoch and Neyand were beaten 3-1 by FC Bonymaen.
All ties postponed on Saturday have now been moved to this weekend, Saturday, October 9.
