Greene scores double hat trick as Goodwick beat Narberth

GOODWICK UNITED eased to victory on Saturday (Feb 5) as they beat struggling Narberth 16-2 at Jesse Road.

Nathan Greene scored six times for Goodwick and Rhys Dalling was on target five times as they showed no signs of letting up.

It was Iestyn Evans who got the scoring going though as he found the net in just the second minute.

Greene then scored the first of his six goals two minutes later and he scored again in the seventh and eighth minutes to make it 4-0.

He wasn’t done there though as he scored his fourth goal in the fifteenth minute.

Dan James then got his name on the scoresheet seven minutes later and Johnny Horgan then made it seven in the 26th minute.

Luke Hayward scored after half an hour before Greene got back in on the act with his fifth goal of the game.

He then completed his hat trick on the stroke of half time to make it 10-0 to the visitors at the break.

Jordan Thomas got Goodwick’s first goal in the second half and Rhys Dalling then got in on the act with two goals in as many minutes.

To their credit Narberth never gave up and they scored just after the hour mark with Tony Evans getting the goal.

Dalling then completed his hat trick two minutes later and he scored his fourth in the 67th minute.

He then grabbed his fifth with fifteen minutes to play before Evans got a second goal back for Narberth.

That was the last of the scoring and Goodwick saw the game out to seal their thirteenth win of the season.
