Haverfordwest County to start 2022/23 season against Caernarfon

HAVERFORDWEST COUNTY will begin their 2022/23 JD Cymru Premier season at home against Caernarfon Town on Saturday, August 13.

The Bluebirds avoided relegation last season thanks to the efforts of Nicky Hayen, who has since left to take up a role as manager of Club Brugge’s Under 23s side in Belgium.

Despite that, preparations for the new season are well underway with six new signings already confirmed.

After their opening day game, they then travel to Bala Town the following week before league newcomers Airbus UK visit the Ogi Bridge Meadow on August 27.

County will face champions TNS at Park Hall in September before they visit the Bridge Meadow just over a month later.

The Bluebirds will face a busy December schedule with six games lined up.

Away games at Cardiff Met and Newtown will be played inbetween home games against Penybont and Aberystwyth on December 23.

On Boxing Day, County will face other league newcomes Pontypridd Town before hosting them on New Years Eve at the Bridge Meadow.

A home game against Connah’s Quay Nomads will complete their phase one fixtures.

The Bluebirds will be hoping they can achieve a top six finish, carrying on where Nicky Hayen left off who said that his aim with County was to do just that.
