HERBRANDSTON secured their place in the final of the Division 2 Cup with a 3-1 win over league leaders Kilgetty on Saturday (Apr 16).
The game was played in Neyland and a good crowd gathered to watch the teams as they continued their quest for some silverware.
Scott Reid opened the scoring for Herbie in the 19th minute and they held on to their lead until half time.
Just after the hour mark Kilgetty got themselves back level thanks to a goal from Richard Cope.
However, the game changed with ten minutes to go as Herbie were awarded what appeared to be a soft penalty.
Reid stepped up to take it though and he sent the keeper the wrong way to put his side ahead.
Just three minutes later the tie was all but over as Callum Stannett scored to give Herbie a 2-goal cushion.
They were able to hold on for the win which sees them into the final against Milford United.
