Ianto leads Otters to victory

iantoNarberth 33
Beddau 3

NARBERTH were able to comprehensively defeat struggling Beddau with Ianto Griffiths scoring 23 points, including a try, penalty, conversion and drop goal.

Leading 13-0 at the half, Griffiths already looked in fine form as he slotted an early penalty thanks to the hard work of the Narberth forwards. He was then able to slice through the defence and touch down for a try under the posts. After adding the extras, Griffiths added another penalty to show his sides dominance in the half.

Griffiths opened the scoring in the second half with another penalty, before Beddau finally got on the score sheet with a penalty from Thomas Benjamin. Griffiths replied after the Narberth forwards steamrollered their way up field, and he sat back in the pocket, and slotted a well taken drop goal.

A Johnny Morgan break allowed Steve Martin to touch down and the game was rounded off with a show of the Otters dominance as they were awarded a penalty try, with man of the match Griffiths converting both tries.
