Johnston and Tenby hit five in Division 5 Cup

JOHNSTON seconds and Tenby seconds both scored five goals in their games on Saturday (Mar 19) to book their places in the quarter finals of the Division 5 Cup.

In the first round of the competition, Johnston beat Pembroke Boro seconds 5-0 at Glebelands with the first goal coming after just three minutes, courtesy of Hayden Dimond.

Three minutes later Nathan Lowe doubled Johnston’s lead and Dimond then completed his hat trick with two goals in the space of a minute.

Joshua Lealand scored with half an hour gone to make it 5-0 and that proved to be the end of the scoring.

The win for Johnston books them a quarter final tie away at either St Clears seconds or Kilgetty seconds.

Tenby seconds also scored five as they beat Letterston seconds 5-1.

Will Malone and Cameron Ennis both scored twice and Tenby’s other goal came from Charlie Gregory.

Tenby will now play Newport Tigers away in the quarter finals.

On Saturday, March 26, there are two more first round matches as St Clears seconds host Kilgetty seconds while Milford Athletic seconds host Angle.
