Johnston move up to fifth

JOHNSTON moved up to fifth place in Division 2 on Saturday (Feb 12) as they beat Broad Haven 3-0.

It was also the Tigers’ third win in a row in the league and they are just a point off third placed Milford United.

The home side were ahead after 17 minutes on Saturday through Marcus Allen and they held on to their lead until the break.

Allen then got his and Johnston’s second on the hour mark as he got on the end of a ball from Scott Crawford.

Crawford was also provider for the third goal as he set up Scott Patterson to score to all but seal the three points.

The Tigers now take a break from league action as they begin their Second Division Cup journey on Saturday, February 19, when they travel to Pennar Robins seconds.

Broad Haven are also in action in the Cup as they travel to Milford United.
