KILGETTY returned to Division 1 with an excellent 3-1 win over Fishguard on Saturday (Sept 3).
Fishguard fielded two 16-year-olds, three 18-year-olds and one 20 year-old bringing the team’s average age to just 22.
It was Kilgetty who took the lead as Lloyd Hughes scored with just under half an hour gone.
With five minutes to go until half time Mark Davies doubled the home side’s lead and they held on to that until the break.
In the second half it was Kilgetty who got the all important third goal of the game as Hughes scored his second.
Gary Delaney did pull a goal back for Fishguard six minutes later but it proved to be a consolation.
On Saturday, September 10, Kilgetty travel to Goodwick United while Fishguard host St Ishmaels.
