KO Cup round up: Holders Crymych go through

THE Pembrokeshire KO Cup has returned and a number of first round matches have already been played.

The new league season starts on Saturday, September 3, and clubs have been busy preparing with the KO Cup providing clubs with a perfect opportunity to get back into the swing of things.

Pembroke Dock Quins were the first side to book their place in the next round as they beat Narberth 24-19 with a last-gasp try.

Haverfordwest are also through after they beat Whitland 20-3.

Fishguard earned their place in the next round as they beat Pembroke 65-15 while St Davids also went through, beating Llangwm 48-3.

On Saturday, August 27, cup holders Crymych went through with a 24-6 win away at Cardigan.

Neyland have a bye into the next round while Tenby United’s tie away at Aberaeron has not yet been scheduled.

There is also no date yet for Milford Haven’s game away at Aberystwyth.
