LAMPETER Town earned their second victory in League 3 West A on Saturday (Oct 1) as they beat Neyland 31-5.
Neyland took the lead in the first half after a cracking try from winger Henry McBeth. The conversion was missed.
The visitors though then lost George Williams who suffered a dislocated shoulder.
Soon after, Lampeter were awarded a penalty try and Neyland’s Ben James was yellow carded.
Iestyn Evans then increased Lampeter’s lead with a try and Osian Jones added the extras to make it 14-5.
Neyland tried to get back into their game and were camped in the opposition 22 but were unable to find a score.
In the second half Brian Mackie scored another try for the hosts before Rhys Davies added two more tries.
Jones added one more conversion to seal the win with the scoreline a little harsh on Neyland.
On Saturday, October 8, Neyland host Haverfordwest and Lampeter visit Pembroke Dock Quins.
