League 3 West A: Laugharne top after beating Cardigan

LAUGHARNE sit top of League 3 West A after their 14-27 win away at Cardigan on Saturday (Oct 1).

Prior to the game, Cardigan paid tribute to former player Dylan Rees, the son of Club President Mr Graham Rees and both teams held a minutes silence before kick off.

For Laugharne, Seb Howells, Tomos Davies, Adam Davies and Joseph Lewis all scored tries.

James Stephenson added two conversions and also scored a drop goal as the leaders sealed a bonus point win.

Elsewhere, Aberaeron earned a 16-12 win away at Haverfordwest and Llangwm beat Tregaron 24-5.

St Davids were also victorious as they beat Llanybydder 28-5.

Zak Morgan, Ben Joyce, Nathan Foster and Aaron Foster all scored tries as the Saints earned a bonus point.

Ollie Owen and Aaron Foster shared the penalties and conversions as the Saints got their first win of the season.
