Llangwm edge to win over Dock

LLANGWM earned their first win of the season on Saturday (May 7) as they beat Pembroke Dock by three wickets.

Llangwm won the toss and chose to field and they were able to bowl the Dock out for 174.

Rhys Daley top scored with 46 for the Dock, hitting five fours before falling to the bowling of Luke Brock.

Jamie White scored 29 before being run out while there were also scores of 27 from Tom Grimwood and 21 from Jake Davies.

Brock finished with figures of 3-45 from his eight over while there was a wicket each for Joe Phillips (1-13), Noah Davies (1-19) and Toby Asson (1-40).

Llangwm lost openers Joe Kiff and Will Beresford early in their reply but a third wicket stand of 107 between Noah Davies and Steven Mills swung the game in their favour.

Davies fell for a score of 30 while Mills smashed 13 fours and five sixes as his score of 90 came from 69 balls.

More wickets fell as Billy Wood finished with figures of 3-38 and Euan McDonald finished with 2-24.

They were unable to remove Steven Inward though who finished not out on 33. He hit three fours and three sixes, his last six winning the game for the home side.

On Saturday, May 14, Pembroke Dock host Saundersfoot while Llangwm travel to Neyland.
