LLANRHIAN earned their second win of the season on Saturday (May 21) as they beat Johnston by six wickets.

Llanrhian won the toss and chose to field first and it appeared initially that Johnston would go on and make a good total after a decent start.

However a batting collapse saw them slip to 112 all out.

Leigh Walters top scored with 42 and Chris Fitzpatrick scored 26 while Andrew Harries added 19.

That was as good as it got for the hosts as Jack Jones took four wickets to finish with excellent figures of 4-4.

Anthony Couzens bowled well for his figures of 2-19 while Tom Clarke also claimed a wicket for the visitors.

In reply, Lee Summons took two wickets for Johnston while Mark Hicks and Chris Fitzpatrick also claimed a wicket each.

Russell Watkins scored 19 and Ben Jones made a score of 39 before Jonathan Strawbridge saw his side home, finishing not out on 44.

The win for Llanrhian lifts them up to sixth place in the table while Johnston sit bottom.

On Saturday, May 28, Llanrhian host Lamphey while Johnston travel to Carew seconds.
