MILFORD Haven tore through a makeshift Llanybydder side on Saturday (Apr 20) as they earned a thumping 89-7 victory at the Obs.
It was Llany’s final match of the season and it was played in glorious conditions, with the home side keen to score as many points as possible in their quest for promotion.
Milford spread the ball at every opportunity, even taking drop goal conversions as they aimed to build up the try count, which could ultimately be vital in the League table.
The home side scored a total of 15 tries, as their backs had too much speed for the depleted visitors.
Centre Dan Jenkins led the way with 4 tries, while there were braces for full-back Jamie Lewis, and wingers Craig Thomas and James Trueman, as well as 5 other scorers, and Trueman converted seven of the tries.
Llanybydder finished with 13 players due to injury but they were rewarded for their efforts with a consolation try for hard working flanker Aled Evans, converted by scrum half Ross Holder.
Llanybydder will aim to re-group over the summer, and hope that their injured players will be fit for pre-season training.
Milford are in action on Saturday, April 27, when they host Pembroke Dock Quins.
